A bridge to China

Opportunities in China are important news, and a chance to create new connections has just opened up – with Intersect member Anthony Coles playing a pivotal role.

Sinosphere, owned by Anthony Coles, works with Australian and Chinese clients providing investment management, trade development and marketing & project management services.  Anthony is also Chairman of the Qingdao chapter of the China-Australia Chamber of Commerce (AustCham), operating through a new office in Qingdao.

Open for business under the name ‘South Australia House’, the new office is a public-private partnership collaboration between Sinosphere and SinoSA (SinoSA was established last year by the South Australian Government to support market entry for SA businesses in China).

Anthony said that Intersect members now have direct access to the AustCham Greater China network through Qingdao: “It’s a great time to do business with Northern China.  Qingdao, in Shandong Province, is home to 10 million people so there is a lot of potential for Australian businesses.”

The office was officially opened on Monday 21st September 2015, by Her Excellency Frances Adamson, Australian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China.
