PB1 exports Australian wine to the Asian market. Currently it has customers across Asia including China, exporting an average 30,000 cases per year.
With a reputation for producing high quality, authentic Australian wines, PB1 sources fruit from premium vineyards, selecting the best vineyard for each sub-region and the best sub-region for each varietal. It’s five wine labels have won numerous awards including Silver at the San Francisco International Wine competition.
The business was established in 2006 with the first vineyard located in the wine producing region of Padthaway, South Australia. The wine makers are David O’Leary and Nick Walker, who each have over 25 years’ experience of making premium wine for large companies, as well as having their own winery and cellar door business.
Owners Geoff Rischbieth and John Hood, along with their Sales Director, Stephanie Rashleigh and team, are embarking on a new phase of growth with a rebrand to Momentum Food and Wine. This move will expand PB1’s wine brands and also include Australian-sourced food products, such as meat and dairy. Expansion plans involve tackling new domestic markets as well as expanding overseas opportunities through providing high quality Australian food and wine to more of the Asian market.
